Sheringham Football Club were celebrating after a victory over Ely City on Saturday.
The Shannocks hosted the Robins amid stifling 30-degree heat at their Weybourne Road ground in the Premier Division game.
Jordan Forbes, who only joined Sheringham in June, scored the only goal, in the first half, before both teams struggled in the tough conditions through the rest of the match.
Known as Forbsy, the scorer joined the Shannocks from fellow Thurlow Nunn League side Norwich United, where he had been a player since 2018.
The attacker is also a former Norwich City academy player.
Sheringham is now seventh in the league with 15 points, while Ely City are in 16th place.
The next challenge for the Shannocks will be to take on league leaders Thetford Town at their home ground, on Saturday, September 16 at 3pm.
Thetford are currently on 22 points, two points clear of their next nearest rivals, Lakenheath.
