Youngsters from four north Norfolk primary schools picked up racquets to try their hands at squash, table tennis and squash at a special coaching day at the Cromer Tennis and Squash Club.
About 120 children took part in the day, which follows an earlier session held for pupils at Beeston Hall School.
Kelvin van Hasselt, club chairman, said: “I am proud that the club is offering children the choice of different racquet sports.
“It’s amazing how some children prefer one racquet sport to another – one thing’s for certain, the sooner they learn the better.”
Children take part in one-hour sessions in the sports. The club also plans to run after-school clubs at Bure Valley School for squash and at Cromer Academy for pickleball and tennis during the winter school term this year, and over Easter next year.
The club is planning multi-racquet sports fun days for children to run from Monday, August 28 to September 1, from 10am-2pm with a 8.45am early drop-off option available.
The cost is £30 including lunch, call 01263 513741 or email admin@cromertennisclub.co.uk to find out more.
