It was semi-finals day in the Walcott Lighthouse Inn NEN League.

In the Nicholson's of Stalham Benevolent Cup, holders Runton travelled up the road to Cromer Youth Old Boys and two hat-tricks from Andrew Hubbard and Lewis Smith, a brace from Tony Edwards and one from George Crane and an opponent gave them a 10-1 success.

Ollie Gahegan got the consolation strike for the hosts.

In the final, which takes place on Easter Monday at Holt, Runton will meet East Ruston who beat Holt Reserves 4-1 thanks to goals from Ollie Woodhouse (2), Ant Annison and Lee Rayner.

After the REW Subsidiary semi-finals, there will be a new name on the trophy as Aylsham A reached the final following a 2-0 home win over North Walsham A. They will meet Briston, who entertained Southrepps, and thanks to a brace from Jonny Brown and further goals from Damian Williams, Sam Patrick, Luke Wilkinson and an own goal finished 6-1 winners with Phil Loose netting the consolation. The final has been booked for Thursday, April 20 at Aylsham (7.30pm).

In Sanders Coaches Division One and Hickling beat visitors Erpingham 2-1.

Meanwhile, Trimingham Pilgrims got back to winning ways in the Norwich Sunday League with a 3-0 away victory over Hethersett Athletic.

Lewis Amos took over in goal and George Edge came into defence with Ryan Buckenham, Daniel Tyrell and Chris Winterbone. Liam Amos, Rob Davis, Joel Neale and George Crane were in midfield with Antoni Fawkes and Jack Crane as strikers.

After a goalless first half the stalemate was finally broken on the hour mark; George Crane took a corner on the left, the ball was laid back to him by brother Jack and his cross to the far post was powerfully headed in by Rob Davis.

The visitors were now putting together some flowing moves and substitute Jordan Tipple passed to George Crane who chipped it forward to Jack Crane and his low cross was converted by half-time replacement Chewy Smith.

Pilgrims went looking for more goals but the home keeper denied them with some fine saves. But in the final moments Smith collected a cross from the right and laid the ball off for George Crane to tap in the third.
