People in a seaside town deemed "to have slipped through the cracks of time" and "as far removed from civilisation as you can get in Norfolk" have shared their thoughts on living there.

People in Cromer have been responding to a review of the town from Milo Boyd of the Daily Mirror.

Mr Boyd said the town was remote from civilisation and appeared to be from a bygone age-  while on a "blissful" visit to the resort.

We went out to Cromer to ask people in the town if Mr Boyd was right in his comments.

Sophia Carter, 20, said: “I’ve lived here my whole life I love it here.

“I wouldn’t change having a childhood here for anything.

“People say it’s stuck in the past but that could be a good thing or a bad thing.

“I get what they mean, you’ve got us and Sheringham and Holt and they all have their own time capsule vibe.

“There are places that are in the middle of nowhere.

“There’s so much going on here and it’s so up and coming."

Rosemary and Niel Goodall who have lived in Cromer for 27 years, said: "I wouldn't say it's stuck in time, we have a McDonald's and a Greggs and supermarkets.

"If it is far removed from civilisation then it isn't stopping people coming because it is always packed in the summer.

"There are loads of people that want to live here, we can't get on the housing ladder."

Ben Foulds, from Birmingham, who regularly visits Cromer said: “I’ve been here several times over the last ten years, it's my second time this year.

“I’ve seen a fair bit of the planet over the years.

“There’s few places I could say I would want to live and one of them is here.

“It’s got good vibes."

“We live in London, it's a country escape, we found it on Airbnb

“We’re actually staying in Aylsham.

“It reminds us of Barry."
