Wroxham has been declared a Mindful Town after 19 people became certified Wellbeing Champions after receiving mental health training.
The course was organised by Broadland District Council and took place in Wroxham.
The district-wide initiative tackles the stigma surrounding mental health by equipping its champions with skills and knowledge to support those struggling with such issues.
Broadland District Council’s deputy leader, Cllr Natasha Harpley, visited Wroxham to meet the champions.

Cllr Harpley said: "With one in four adults and one in ten children experiencing mental illness, there has never been a greater need for support.
"By helping to train Wellbeing Champions we are throwing a lifeline to those suffering from mental health issues and to their families and friends who may also need support."
The training scheme, carried out with funding from the South Norfolk and Broadland Health and Wellbeing Partnership, operates across the district.
The council’s Help Hub provides support to Wellbeing Champions, offering professional assistance for both residents' concerns and problematic cases referred for specialist help.
The next training session is slated for Blofield on September 26.
