There was a mix of nerves and excitement for pupils and parents at Sheringham High School as this year's GCSE cohort collected their results.
Among the scenes of celebration was Eliza Hill, who completed her GSCE German exam a year early, just aged 15.
She said: “I have a passion for language and the French and German here is amazing.
“I wanted to do both, so in year nine and 10, I was in German lessons but studying for year 11 by myself too.
“Next year I will do French too."
Fionna Hill, Eliza’s mother and head of maths at Sheringham High, said: “I couldn’t be prouder.
“Thanks to the language team for supporting the dream.”
There are many pupils with some big plans for the future.
Tianna Hardy was confident in picking up her results and was feeling “excited and nervous”.
Tianna said: “If you study, you’re going to get what you expect.
“Hard work pays off.”
Tianna achieved two 9s, three 8s, two 7s and three 6s.
For her A-levels Tianna will go on to study environmental science, classics, sociology
She added: “If I decide to pursue classics and sociology, I want to get into Oxford or Cambridge. If I go down the environmental science route, then I will try and get an apprenticeship at the Eden Project.
Dawn Hollidge, senior deputy headteacher, said: “We are delighted with the result of our students, both in terms of their excellent attainment and the progress they have made.
“Our students have displayed a superb attitude to learning and a solid work ethic.
“We are very proud of them and of our outstanding teachers and support staff, who have helped them to achieve such wonderful outcomes.”
Pupils from Stalham High School were also celebrating some outstanding achievements.
Luca Hammond managed three grade 9s in the sciences, five grade 8s and a 6 despite having a fractured pelvis and being heavily medicated.
Alice Cole managed to achieve a strong result in combined science along with a 6 in maths and a 7 in English.
Mr McMahon, senior deputy headteacher said: "We are delighted with the progress our students have made.
"The results achieved are a great testament to the combined effort and hard work of both staff and students, together with the continued support of their parents and the wider community.
"We are also thrilled for the impressive individual performances we have seen."
There were similar scenes of joy at Cromer Academy.
Principal John Victent said: "Congratulations to our Year 11s, not only for your academic achievement but also for setting such an excellent example for our younger students."
