A performing arts group based in Sheringham has enjoyed an exceedingly busy summer filled with victories, performances, and community engagements.
Tom Withington Performing Arts (TWPA) experienced a successful season at both regional and national award levels.
Both Junior and Senior Elite teams won several accolades at the Move it Shake it Regional Finals.
The success continued as the teams, after performing for the local community, travelled to the National Finals in Swindon, where the Seniors claimed the Best Choreography and the Best Performance awards.
Dressed in EACT Group Limited-sponsored uniforms, the Junior team didn't lag.
Skye Jefferson, Maisie Giugno-Hooker, Elia Giugno-Hooker, and Maddie Fish collectively earned five first-place awards, a second and third winnings in categories spanning Acro, jazz, contemporary, and commercial dance, including an honorary award.
Skye and Maddie also received the prestigious award for showing most potential at Nationals.
Besides competing, TWPA also delved into professional engagements, including the Cromer Legends event and Pride in Norwich on July 27.
The collective contributed to putting Sheringham on the map with their captivating performances.
TWPA also played a vital role at the Sheringham Carnival Crowning Festival.
Adults and children alike were part of the procession.
The highlight of the day came when TWPA's Princess, Lily Dowsett-Olby, was crowned Carnival Princess, amidst performances in a packed arena.
When the Carnival Day arrived, TWPA glided through the town on their Elton John-themed float, and triumphantly won the first prize in their category.
This victory added another trophy to their robust summer collection.
After a summer streak of victories and dazzling performances, TWPA looks forward to a busy schedule of competitions and performances leading up to Christmas, starting with open auditions for Sheringham Little Theatre Pantomime, Robin Hood, on September 29.
Starting from September 7, newcomers are invited to join the fun, with a free trial on offer.
