Tributes have been paid to a young man who died after his car crashed into a tree on a country road.
Kalan Barratt was driving a blue Ford Fiesta Zetec when it left the carriageway at the School Road junction on the B1150 North Walsham Road in Westwick, on May 26.
The 21-year-old, who lived in Northrepps, near Cromer, worked as an apprentice electrician.
Dozens of tributes have been paid to him via an online book of condolences.
Julie Collins, who first met him at Trimingham Leisure Club, said: “[He was] such a happy, well-mannered, polite young man.”
Steve Godson said: “Remembering Kalan as a smiley, happy little boy who was a lovely pupil with a smashing family.”
Echoing that ethos, Sarah Walker added: “An amazing young man, taken too soon. [He] never failed to impress me as a young learner. Kind and funny and filled with endless determination.”
Many added that he had “gone far too soon” and that the former Cromer Academy pupil would be missed.
Others described how they were still coming to terms with his death.
Jenna Stephenson, who previously went to school with him, added: “Kalan was such a lovely boy. [He] will definitely be missed by many.”
Another former school friend, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: “He was always so cheerful, polite, and funny.
“He had the best smile and I know he had a great set of friends who valued and cherished him.
“My heart is broken... I will remember his kindness, humour, and smile.”
Finally, the Vigor family said: “[He was] just a kind and gentle lad. Such a tragedy that he is gone."
