A young north Norfolk karting driver with autism has been honoured for his achievements.
Cory Chapman, 13 and from Mundesley, has been given a Personal Achievement Award at the Autism Hero Awards, which took place in London.
The awards are run by the Anna Kennedy Online charity and celebrate people with autism excelling in the realms of business, sport, care and more.
Cory has had a string of successes in kart racing, travelling to events to compete across the country.
His dad, Craig, said: “We got the email to say he was in the top three out of thousands of candidates worldwide.
“It was a red carpet event and Cory got treated like a VIP.
“Cory then won this very prestigious award and was chosen by 1980s pop star and Fame Academy judge David Grant.
“He had an awesome night mixing with inspiring people dancing and having fun.”
The National Autistic Society says there are about 700,000 children and adults with autism across the UK.
