A north Norfolk mum-of-three is raising money to fund research into a disease which is taking the life of her friend.
Roseanna Paul, 35, a teaching assistant from Cromer, is doing 100 star jumps every day this month for Brain Tumour Research.
She was inspired by her friend Mark Cuff – a father-of-three from Cromer – who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and is now receiving end-of-life care.
His brother sadly passed away from a brain tumour only a year ago.
“Mark’s always been such a caring guy, and so jolly,” Roseanna said.
“He’s gone from being a cheerful, smiley person to someone who doesn’t know what’s going on. It’s awful and that’s the reason I feel it’s such an honour and a privilege to be fundraising for Brain Tumour Research.
“My hope is for all cancers to be eliminated, but with less being known about brain tumours - and the fact they can happen to anyone - I want to do what I can to help ensure a cure is found so no one has to live in fear.”

Roseanna’s fundraiser is part of Brain Tumour UK’s ‘100 a Day, Your Way’ challenge.
Charlie Allsebrook, community development manager for Brain Tumour Research, said: “With one in three of us knowing someone affected by a brain tumour, Roseanna’s story is, sadly, not unique.
“They kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1pc of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
“We’re determined to change this - but we can’t do it alone. We’re really grateful to Roseanna for taking on this challenge and wish her the best of luck with it.
“Our hearts go out to Mark and his family and friends for all they’re going through. This truly is a cruel disease but together we will find a cure.”
