A north Norfolk road is set to close for 12 days for bridge repairs later this month.
Thornage Road, in Thornage, near Holt, will be closed from Monday, October 23 to Friday, November 3 so the brickwork of a headwall and wing wall of the Old Mill Bridge can be rebuilt.
The bridge was damaged when it was hit by a vehicle in July this year.
North Norfolk County Council (NCC) has said the repairs are expected to cost £15,000 and will be carried out by the council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
The council has said a full road closure is required to maintain a safe working area for contractors.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the B1354 and A148.
NCC said that diversions always follow routes suitable for all vehicles, so smaller vehicles may be able to find alternative routes.
The B1110 Thornage Road was previously closed for three weeks of bridge repairs last year after a similar crash on Old Mill Bridge.
Those repairs cost the council £20,000.
