The daughter of a retired salesman who died unexpectedly at home paid tribute to her “active” father at an inquest into his death.
The inquest of Leonard Frederick Holland took place on Friday, February 17, at Coroner’s Court at County Hall, Norwich.
Mr Holland’s wife, Maureen, discovered her husband had died at their home in Blackthorn Avenue in Holt, north Norfolk, on the morning of Monday, February 6.

In a statement read out in court, his daughter, Julia Giani, affectionately described her 87-year-old father as “sometimes stubborn” when it came to his health, but added: “He was quite active, up until recently. He would play golf once a week and would often go out on his bike.”
The evening before he died, the retired fruit and vegetable salesman made his wife a hot chocolate and brought it to her in bed, before retiring to bed himself at midnight.
Area coroner Yvonne Blake recorded a conclusion of death by natural causes.
Mr Holland was born on December 22, 1935, in Waltham Forest, London.
