It was cup quarter-final time in the Optic NE Norfolk League at the weekend.
In the Nicholson’s of Stalham Benevolent Cup, holders Gimingham were taken to extra time by third division side Blakeney before eventually running out 4-2 winners.
Wayne Cutting notched a hat-trick and Charlie Skipper got on the score sheet, with Toby Blowers netting twice for the visitors.
Gimingham will now face a trip to Coltishall, who saw off Worstead by a 5-2 margin thanks to a hat-trick from Joe Woodcock and a goal apiece from Jordan McBride and Jamie Douglass.
The other semi will between East Ruston and Runton.
East Ruston who were odd-goal winners of three over North Walsham A, thanks to goals from Mark Burton and Matthew Curtis with Liam Wood replying for the visitors.
Runton travelled to Ludham and returned home resounding 5-2 winners
In the REW Subsidiary Cup, Horning were comfortable winners at Cawston thanks to goals from Richard Mileham (2), Tyler Reynolds, Paul Blazer and Jonathan Flowers.
In the semi-finals they travel again, this time to Mundesley who won on penalties 4-2.
The game itself against Felmingham failed to produced any goals.
Strikes from Alan Maxwell and James Walker saw Haisboro Athletic into the semis with a 2-1 win over Holt A. They will entertain Buxton Reserves who were 4-0 winners at Hickling.
In the Wayford Nurseries Division Two there were wins for Corpusty Reserves 3-1 over Lyng, and Cromer Youth OB 7-1 over Erpingham.
In the Knights Trophies Division Three, Gimingham Reserves were amongst the goals at Erpingham Reserves, with Ryan Beeson leading the way with five, Jack Morton claiming a hat-trick and one goal from Joe Hurst.
Mundesley Reserves won 4-0 at home to East Ruston Reserves.
