MULLENGER COLIN HAROLD 10.01.1919-05.06.201 2 Born in Pulham St. Mary, Norfolk the youngest son of village blacksmith, Clarence and postmistress, Bertha; Colin joined the Royal Corps of Signals at the beginning of WW2, married Betty Bush whilst billeted in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire (a 68 year marriage) saw active service in Europe and the Middle East with the Eighth Army attached to the 15th Scottish Division and joined Waltham Cross Post Office at demob. Colin and Betty had four sons, David, Michael, Nigel and Andrew. Colin rose to Postmaster of Hoddesdon and finally Potters Bar before retiring to Aylmerton, Norfolk where both became involved with St. John The Baptist Church, Colin as Treasurer and Church Warden. An amazingly practical man with a massive heart, Colin lived a long, energetic and inspirational life pivotal to so many only curbed in this 94th year. Colin will be lovingly missed by his 4 sons, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Colin will be buried with his beloved Betty at the Aylmerton Church they were so much a part of.
