IYA HULBERT

HULBERT IYA Aged 101, widow of John Hulbert (1921- 2007), died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021, at the Royal British Legion Care Home Halsey House, Cromer. Her family would like to thank all the staff of Halsey House for the excellent care she received during the five and a half years she was there, a time during which she was very happy. A short, private, family funeral was held on Friday, February 12th at St. Andrew’s Church.

We were very saddened to read about the news of Iya's passing. A while back we knew both Iya and John and indeed we stayed with them in Holt at various times. It was a pity we lost touch with Iya sometime after John died but we did meet a Robert who we understood was a son.
Iya was a remarkable lady with elegance and deep culture. She used to make us so welcome. Had we known where she spent her remaining years we would visited her. Alas that was not t be. We will always treasure her memory and visit her resting place as soon as we can,
